J & K Wood Gallery markets and publishes the work of Yorkshire artists John and Kevin

Wood. From their studio and gallery based in the Yorkshire town of Barnsley, they produce a

wide variety of work, available as originals, signed limited editions and canvases.

  
 
John studied biochemistry at Sheffield University and worked

for a number of years as a medical laboratory technician. A

lifelong love of painting became a profession when he opened

his gallery along with his brother in 1986. John works in

watercolour and oils, his favourite subjects being found in the

valleys and dales of Wharfedale, Yorkshire.
 
 

Kevin studied languages and art at school and went on to study

graphic design at college. His real affection in art was for the more

traditional approach to landscapes and wildlife painting. Dog

portraiture has been a constant theme with commissions providing

welcome work in earlier years. Kevin is also a member of RSPB and

counts the Barn Owl and Kingfisher as his favourite subjects.
