John Wood is a self taught Artist who studied sciences at school and college. He has a passion for capturing the timeless beauty of the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District, which he paints with equal accomplishment in oils and watercolour. His paintings convey the moods, drama and tranquillity of these wonderful Northern Landscapes. His work is featured in many galleries and private collections far and wide. He currently teaches a monthly master class in oils, where he shares his techniques and knowledge with an informal group of students. The class enjoy a day's painting at the Spencers Arms in the beautiful village of Cawthorne.(see Art Class Page) Kevin Wood studied art and languages at Grammar school before achieving a degree in Graphic Art. He has now worked as an artist for over twenty years. He favours a traditional approach to painting, working in oils and watercolours. Kevin also has a particular flare for detailed bird and animal portraiture. He shares a love for the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District with his brother, John, and enjoys walking and cycling in search of new inspiration.
